SiOCAST presents SiOdream publicly for the first time at ARBURG Technology Days 2026
Industrial injection moulding, rapid tooling for injection moulding and fast validation came together in Loßburg as SiOCAST presented its complete technology ecosystem at ARBURG Technology Days 2026.
From 11 to 13 March 2026, ARBURG welcomed around 3,750 visitors from 44 countries to its headquarters in Loßburg, Germany, for its annual Technology Days. The event featured more than 40 machine exhibits, covering injection moulding applications, automation, turnkey solutions, digitalisation and advanced manufacturing technologies. Read ARBURG’s event recap.
For SiOCAST, this year’s event marked an important milestone: the first public presentation of SiOdream, our Phase 2 technology, integrated directly into an ARBURG ALLROUNDER 375 V injection moulding machine.

Rapid tooling for injection moulding: from digital design to part in hours

At Technology Days, SiOCAST presented much more than an injection moulding system. Visitors were able to see the complete SiOCAST ecosystem, covering the entire rapid tooling workflow:
digital design → 3D printing → mould production → vulcanisation with SiOpress → industrial injection with SiOdream
The setup incorporated Formlabs 3D-printing technology and demonstrated how moulds can be created and brought into production within a very short timeframe.
One of the strongest reactions from visitors came from seeing moulds actually manufactured during the event and then used for injection moulding. What is traditionally perceived as a tooling process measured in weeks could be demonstrated, validated and modified in a matter of hours.

This is where SiOCAST brings a fundamentally different approach to industrial prototyping and low-volume injection moulding: using real production materials and industrial injection equipment while dramatically shortening the tooling cycle.
Visitors could follow the rapid-tooling workflow directly, inspect moulds and injected samples and understand how design changes could be fed back into the process without waiting for conventional hard tooling.
Live polypropylene injection on an ARBURG ALLROUNDER
Throughout the event, the SiOdream system operated inside an ALLROUNDER 375 V, producing polypropylene components live.
Applications included automotive clipping and fastening components, as well as the overmoulding of commemorative parts for a special Technology Days can opener featuring the ARBURG logo.
These live demonstrations allowed injection moulders, mouldmakers, machine manufacturers, material specialists and industrial brands to see the process operating under real production conditions rather than simply viewing finished samples.

A broader display also demonstrated the versatility already achieved with the SiOCAST technology, including parts manufactured using polypropylene, polyamide, TPU, PVC and TPE, together with examples from medical, toy and other industrial applications.
A meeting point for the entire plastics industry

ARBURG Technology Days is designed around practical technology demonstrations and direct interaction between specialists across the plastics processing industry. In 2026, its arburgSOLUTIONworld concept brought together machine technology, automation, digital services, application engineering and turnkey manufacturing solutions. Explore ARBURG Technology Days 2026.
We had the opportunity to present the solution directly to injection moulding companies, mould manufacturers, ARBURG customers, material suppliers and end-product manufacturers from a wide range of industries.
Being able to demonstrate the complete ecosystem made the proposition especially clear: SiOCAST is not simply an alternative mould-making process. It is a development platform designed to help the plastics industry prototype faster, validate earlier and move projects towards industrial production with fewer intermediate steps.
Accelerating industrial product development
The value of rapid tooling becomes particularly clear during product development. Instead of waiting for conventional production tooling before obtaining representative injected parts, engineering teams can test geometries, assemblies, materials and functional behaviour much earlier in the process.
This can help companies:
- shorten development and validation cycles;
- produce functional parts using industrial thermoplastics;
- test multiple design iterations before committing to final tooling;
- bridge the gap between prototyping and serial production;
- reduce time to market for new injection-moulded products.
In an increasingly agile Industry 4.0 manufacturing environment, that ability to iterate quickly while remaining close to the final industrial process is becoming increasingly important.
Supporting every link in the injection moulding value chain
One of the key conclusions from Technology Days was how naturally the SiOCAST ecosystem can interact with the different players involved in plastics manufacturing.
Our objective is to support injection moulding machine manufacturers, mouldmakers, injection moulders, material producers and product brands in bringing projects to market faster.
SiOdream represents another step in that direction: making rapid tooling an increasingly integrated part of conventional industrial injection moulding.

We would like to give a special thanks to ARBURG and its application technology team for inviting SiOCAST to participate and for giving us the opportunity to present SiOdream in such a unique environment.
Being part of ARBURG Technology Days — surrounded by some of the highest levels of expertise in injection moulding technology, automation and plastics processing — was an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate where rapid tooling can fit into the future of industrial manufacturing.
From an idea to an injected part in hours rather than weeks: this is the development speed SiOCAST is working to bring to the plastics industry.
